Who runs Nice Maps

Operator

Nice Maps is operated by Rahul Chakraborty, an individual / sole proprietor based in India. Business contact address: 7th Main, HAL 3rd Stage, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560075, India.

For support, privacy questions or account requests, contact hi@rahulchakraborty.com. We aim to respond within 3–5 business days; this is an initial response target, not a guaranteed resolution time.

Privacy

Analytics cookies

With analytics consent, we also measure use of location selection, built-in data sources, projections and themes, exports, Get Pro buttons and successful feedback submissions. These events contain fixed option categories and export settings, not location names, coordinates, typed text, artwork, file names, feedback contents or raw error messages.

With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits to our public pages and Studio using analytics cookies. It does not load until you accept. Rejecting does not affect Studio features. We send page views without URL query strings, fragments or account information; advertising signals are disabled. You can change your choice using Analytics preferences on this page. Rejecting after accepting disables further measurement and removes this site's Google Analytics cookies; it does not delete data already collected.

Performance measurement

We use Vercel Speed Insights to measure page performance on our public website and Studio. Our integration removes URL query strings and fragments and excludes sign-in and payment routes. We do not attach your account email, artwork, license key or form contents to these performance events.

Feedback and screenshots

If you open the Studio feedback form, Tally processes your contact email and the name, description and screenshot you submit so Nice Maps can respond to feedback and investigate bugs. Signed-in users have their account email prefilled; visitors can provide an email. Screenshots are uploaded only when you choose them. Please remove sensitive information before uploading.

Your artwork & local drafts

Poster rendering and imported terrain files stay on your device. Local drafts are stored in this browser profile, not synced to your account. Clearing site data can remove them. Search, map and dataset requests still reach our hosting and data providers.

Sign-in information

Supabase stores and manages Nice Maps accounts, including your account ID, email and basic profile supplied during sign-in. Nice Maps uses this information to identify your account and verify Pro access. Resend delivers email sign-in codes. A sign-in session is stored in your browser. Sign out on shared devices.

Payments & security

Dodo Payments hosts checkout and handles billing information as merchant of record. In Supabase, Nice Maps stores account-to-purchase links, checkout references and URLs, provider license identifiers, creation times and a one-way hash of your license key, not card details, raw license keys or artwork. Upstash holds short-lived request counters and checkout locks to protect account endpoints and reduce duplicate purchases.

How information is used

These services support account access, purchase fulfillment, security and customer support. Vercel hosts the website, and support correspondence is handled through Gmail. This flow does not enroll you in marketing. Information stored with providers for Nice Maps is still information processed by our service, even when the operator does not download a copy. Providers may process information outside India. Contact hi@rahulchakraborty.com for questions about the providers handling your information.

Your information & retention

Contact hi@rahulchakraborty.com to request access, correction or deletion of account information. We verify ownership before acting and explain any records that must be retained. Automated cleanup and paid-account deletion are not currently available; requests require support review.

Payment records

Dodo Payments maintains transaction and billing records. The operator may obtain payout and transaction reports for bookkeeping and tax purposes. Account deletion does not necessarily erase records that Dodo or the operator must retain for legal obligations or an ongoing dispute. We do not apply an automatic 12-month deletion rule to financial records.

Terms

Who can use Nice Maps

Free editing and exports up to 4k are available without an account. Nice Maps accounts and Pro purchases are for adults aged 18 or older, subject to local law and payment-provider availability. By creating an account or purchasing Pro, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Do not create an account or purchase Pro if you are under 18. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern about a child’s account, contact hi@rahulchakraborty.com so we can investigate.

One-time Pro purchase

An $8 USD one-time purchase, plus applicable taxes shown at checkout, unlocks 6k (6,000 px wide) and 8k (8,000 px wide) PNG and JPEG exports, Ultra quality at every export resolution, plus access to all future updates. Height follows your poster ratio. No subscription is created. All editing, Ultra previews, smaller export presets at up to Fine quality, and automatic workspace recovery remain free.

Your license & exports

One license is tied to the Nice Maps account used at checkout. Sign in with that account on other devices. Internet access is required to verify Pro access for large or Ultra-quality exports; rendering happens locally. Source detail and device memory still limit output. Existing dataset credits and usage terms continue to apply.

Account access

For a changed email or account-access problem, contact hi@rahulchakraborty.com. Support can review a transfer request after verifying ownership and payment; an email match alone is not proof of purchase. Transfers are not automatic or guaranteed.

Service availability

A one-time purchase is not a promise of perpetual hosting or compatibility with every device. If paid exports do not work, contact support for investigation and any remedy required by applicable law. If Nice Maps permanently closes, the closure refund policy below applies.

Refunds

Change of mind & your rights

We do not offer voluntary refunds solely for a change of mind after purchase. This does not exclude refunds, withdrawal rights or other remedies required by applicable law or the payment provider’s terms.

30-day cutoff

We do not offer voluntary refunds more than 30 days after purchase, except under the permanent closure policy below. Requests within 30 days are reviewed under this policy and are not automatically approved. This cutoff does not limit remedies required by applicable law or the payment provider’s terms. Account deletion does not itself qualify a purchase for a refund.

Payment or export problems

For a duplicate charge, missing Pro access or a technical problem with paid exports, contact hi@rahulchakraborty.com using your purchase email and order reference. Do not send card details, passwords or full license keys. We aim to respond within 3–5 business days and review the issue with Dodo Payments where needed.

Permanent closure

If Nice Maps permanently closes, purchases made within the 30 days immediately before the closure date qualify for a full purchase refund. This window is measured from the closure date, not the announcement date. Contact hi@rahulchakraborty.com with your order reference for assistance. This policy does not limit any additional rights required by law.

How refunds are returned

An approved refund is processed through Dodo Payments to the original payment method, subject to provider processing requirements; bank processing times vary. A successful refund or revoked license removes Pro access. Free editing and smaller exports remain available while the service operates.

Account deletion

Request deletion

Compose an account deletion request. You can also reach this section through your Studio avatar → Delete account. You must send the email for it to reach support. The operator will verify ownership and explain the effect on Pro access and any records that must be retained. This submits a support request, not an instant deletion. Paid-account deletion is not currently available.

Confirming loss of Pro access

Before deleting a paid account, support will explain that its Pro access will end and ask you to confirm that you want to proceed. Sending a request alone does not authorize an immediate loss of access.

What deletion means

Signing out is not account deletion. Deleting an account is not an automatic refund and does not clear drafts stored in your browser. Use Studio’s draft storage manager or your browser settings to remove local data.

Returning to Nice Maps

If you later return, support may review a purchase recovery request using lawfully retained payment records. This does not restore deleted personal data or local drafts. Recovery is not guaranteed, including when sufficient verification records no longer exist.

Compose a purchase recovery request. Include an order reference if available, never passwords, sign-in codes or full license keys.
